Yamaha HS 8 Organ
This organ was the highest model in the HS range with 8 sections, The HS4 only had 4. The HS5 had 5, The HS6 had 6. The flexibility of the organ made it one of the most versatile organs of its time. The ability to write your own rhythms or edit your own sounds using the FM editor made it streets ahead of its competitors. The Yamaha P70 is a lightweight portable electronic piano with 88 graded action keys and built-in stereo speakers. Please note that the keyboard does not feel like an acoustic piano but lies somewhere between a piano and a synth.
The Yamaha P-70 has an amazingly realistic sound quality usually only found in more expensive models. It features an array of commonly used sounds such as grand pianos, electric pianos, organs, harpsichords, vibraphones, and strings. Using Yamaha’s own AWM stereo sampling, sounds were recorded directly from a variety of instruments. Each voice is recorded in stereo, and thus faithfully replicates the sound and warmth of the original instrument.
Half (continuous) pedaling capability
Rather than simply switching sustain ON or OFF, the P-70 responds to 127 levels of pedal depth. This allows for a more authentic piano performance by emulating the fluid control a pianist has over the damper pedal. Half pedaling is just one more example of Yamaha’s dedication to its acoustic piano heritage.
